Another Great Success!

What a show!! From the first chords from Niagara's Hearts and Sounds to the finale notes of I Don't Wanna Go Home with all artists on the stage! The best Light of Day Niagara ended with a big party on the stage, words from Bob Benjamin and a rockin' version of Higher and Higher, Light of Day and the afore mentioned I Don't Wanna Go Home with Joe Grushecky leading the charge.

Some of the hightlights was a smokin' version of Code of Silence with Tunes from the Beaver Brown Band joining the Houserockers on Saxaphone, John Cafferty and Tunes sneaking out into the crowd during On The Darkside and Willie Nile bringing little Matthew Pasco up on stage for One Guitar!

This year we brought in almost $35,000 between all show and were able to give the charitiesover $20,000 after expenses! Big thanks to all of the sponsors and to everyone who supported the 2011 campaign! See you on November 9, 2012

Boccigalupe  & The Badboys

Special Guests: Hearts and Sounds

They say you have to suffer to sing the blues, play hard to do rock, and possess the wounded heart of an urban player to pull off soul, and Boccigalupe & the Badboys, straight out of the gritty musical history of Asbury Park, New Jersey fit that lofty bill.

Boccigalupe & The Badboys are not a tribute band or copy band but the REAL THING. Fronted by legendary ASBURY rockers Tony Amato a.k.a Boccigalupe and John Oeser and Ricky D, the band epitomizes the determination and drive that great musicians feed off of to produce incredible live performances.

*** The newest Light of Day family members and they rocked the house!   Thanks to everyone who came out to see them....stay tuned.... You may see them again at one of our other events.

Screening of 'Just Around The Corner: LOD Documentary'
Just Around The Corner: Light of Day Documentary

Flat Broke Productions second feature documentary film focuses on Parkinson's disease, the power of music and one mans' use of that music as his weapon against the disease.

“Just around the Corner” is the story of Light of Day Foundation founder Bob Benjamin and his battle against Parkinson’s disease. The film explores not only the disease and the challenges that come with living with PD but also how Bob responded to his diagnosis. He chose to fight back and for his weapon he chose something that is near and dear to him, rock-n- roll. What started as a birthday celebration for him at a local club with his musician friends playing has turned into a world wide, grass roots musical movement that has raised well over a million dollars for Parkinson’s research. The film shows what one man and a group of dedicated, compassionate friends can accomplish when they put their minds, and their music, into action!

*** Thanks to everyone who came out to see this very moving movie and to support this great cause.   If you are interested in purchasing a copy please contact us at 905-357-4977.
