After a very successful inaugural event in 2007, the Light of Day Niagara committee are now in the planning stages for the upcoming year. We are "just around the corner" from the 2nd Light of Day Niagara. On November 15, 2008, Joe D'Urso, Willie Nile, The Maddhatters and numerous other acts will take the stage of the Niagara Centre for the Performing Arts to help raise money for 2 great causes - Parkinson's Disease and ALS.

This year the Light of Day Niagara team has created an additional avenue to raise money for these 2 great causes - The Light of Day Summer Concert Series.
Join us at Yanks Old Niagara for 4 great shows, highlighting bands from the 2007 Light of Day event! Donations will be taken at the door and ticket information will be coming soon! So, make sure you come back and get your tickets. Only 100 tickets will be sold for each show!

The Houserockers, Rock Da House
Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers did what we knew they were going to do - they blew the windows and doors off of "our" favorite bar and grill, Yanks Old Niagara. What a night. If you missed it, you missed a show for the ages!! Straight ahead rock and roll starting with a great 2 song set from Brooke Pasco and Rick Rose, a rocking throw back set from The Roxwells (with Houserocker, Danny G sittin' in on Communication Breakdown), a masterpiece show by Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers (with special guest Anthony DiCarlo) and a great final set by The Maddhatters with a special appearance by Joe G. sittin' in on Brown Eyed Girl. Not a bad night for $10!!

A great night like this doesn't just happen. So Mike and I want to thank Shelly and the Brick Brewing Company for making it such a fun night, Eugene and Artista Print Shop for ALL of their work, DANIMA Technologies, Vince D and the Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview for taking great care of the band, Phil and the staff at Yanks Old Niagara for EVERYTHING, Morgan & Jack from Capital M Productions for fantastic sound and Dino from the Festival of Lights.
